ckViewer
View your Pictures, ordered by Date!
Introduction
Do you have a lot of pictures and want to view them ordered by Date? Well, I did! So I wrote a simple program to do this.The program is called ckViewer, it is very easy to use and yet has a lot of possibilities. It works on W95/98/00/NT/XP. The program is free.
With ckViewer you can:- View your Pictures, ordered by Date;
- Edit Pictures, keeping the original Date;
- Rotate Pictures, keeping the original;
- Change the Date of pictures;
- Remove Pictures;
- Use F1 to view the context sensitive help pages;
How does it work
Before viewing your pictures you have to tell ckViewer where your prices are saved:Click the button
(Options).

In the Options Window below "Directory for the Pictures" enter the
directory where the pictures are save. You may also navigate
to the right directory by clicking the button "Browse".
- Before editing pictures you have to enter the path to your favorite picture editing program below "Editing program for pictures".
Description
ckViewer shows the pictures in one directory. After starting ckViewer the main window is shown:
Select Directory
Before actually using ckViewer you have to select the Directory where the
pictures have been stored. Click the button "Select Directory" and navigate to the
right directory. You may select a file to let ckViewer start with it.
Navigate
Use these buttons to go to the first (=oldest) picture, to the previous
picture, to the next picture or to the last one.
Rotate Left/Right
Click this button to rotate the current picture over 90 degrees. The original
picture is retained.
Edit Picture
Click this button to edit the current picture with your favorite
program. The original date is retained
Edit Date(s)
Click this button to edit the dates of the selected pictures. Options
Click this button to adjust the directory's:
Check for available
Updates
If an Internet Connection is available, ckViewer will check the web site
of ckViewer if a newer version has been released. If a newer version is
available, then ckViewer suggests to download it. After downloading the new
version may be installed.
Remove this picture
Click this button to remove the current picture.
Information
Press F1 to enter the context sensitive help system.Click the Information button for the Information Menu. It has three items:
Click this item for the contents of the help pages (Still only in Dutch!).
"Help - Index"
Click this item for the index to the help pages. (Still only in Dutch!).
"About"
Click this item to view the About Window.
Exit
Click the button "Exit" to close the program.

Download the program as follows:
First method (download and install):
- Click Download and check "Open".
- Click "OK" and the download starts. After downloading the program will be installed on your computer. Follow the directions in the installation program.
Second method: (download and save):
Use this method if you want to install ckViewer on a second computer or give the demo to your friends.- Click Download and check "Save as...".
- Enter e.g. "c:\Temp" for destination.
- Click "OK" and downloading starts. The file "ckviewer102.exe" will now be saved to the directory "c:\Temp".
Installation
Installing the program is very simple too. Assuming the downloaded file has been saved in "c:\Temp" then:- Click "Start | Execute".
- Enter: "c:\Temp\ckviewer102.exe".
- Click OK.
